The Meaning of True Love

It is sharing and caring,

Giving and forgiving,

Loving and being loved,

Walking hand and hand,

Talking heart to heart,

Seeing through each other’s eyes,

Laughing together,

Weeping together,

Praying together,

And always trusting and believing,

And thanking God for each other…

For love that is shared

Is a beautiful thing —

It enriches the soul

And makes the heart sing!

TO: God.Com

Dear Lord,

Every single evening
As I’m lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm
And safe from harm
For they’re so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don’t mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.

Now I know that it’s unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.

Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That’s filled with so much love.

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits ’send’.

When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer

Sent up to GOD.Com

Amen

THE GIFT

To give a Gift of Love to other people

Makes me the happiest of anything I do.

It expands my world—-

It fills my heart with a feeling of Purpose and Joy

And the awareness

That nothing is an accident.

You and I have been put here

(Precisely where we are and precisely now)

For reasons that are very significant

And when I catch even a glimpse

Of that significance —–

Sparkling in the eyes of someone I

I have given to —-

The Whole World comes Alive for me

And I want to Laugh and Sing and

“Shout Hurray”!!

And at that moment in my heart

Everything makes Sense!

THERE IS A WONDERFUL GIFT WAITING FOR YOU!

It was made personally just for You.  And your Father wants you to have it!

1. You were made for a distinct purpose, and you possess all the tools you  need to       live a useful life.

  • Your body is a Miracle, and your five senses help you deal with the material realm.
  • Your mind is a Marvel of brain and emotions that deal with your mental realm.
  • Your God-given spirit opens the ability to communicate with God.
  • God’s deepest desire is to communicate with you. In fact, that is why you were created and are Precious to Him.

2. No one is perfect, and every human has broken God’s law.

  • We all have sinned.
  • Laws without penalties would be simply “advice.”
  • The penalty for breaking God’s law is DEATH—spiritual death and separation from God.

3. God loves you, but He must uphold His law.

  • God has provided the way to break the power of sin over our lives.
  • Forgiveness was needed—“…and without the shedding of blood                        there is no forgiveness of sins” (Hebrews 9:22 RSV)
  • Jesus Christ paid the penalty and shed HIS blood for YOU.

4. Forgiveness is God’s FR.EE gift to you!

To claim your gift, you must:

  • Realize that you are a sinner—
  • “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”(Romans 3:23).
  • Believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead for you, in your place—“…Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”(Romans 10:13)

Just Pray:

“Oh, God, I know I am a sinner.
I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross.
I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me.
I now receive Him as my Savior.
I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins,
the gift of salvation and everlasting life,
because of Your merciful grace.
Amen.”

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!

God’s simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your place, you will spend eternity in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.

You say, “Surely, it cannot be that simple.” Yes, that simple! It is scriptural. It is God’s plan. My friend, believe on Jesus and receive Him as Savior today.

If His plan is not perfectly clear, read this tract over and over, without laying it down until you understand it. Your soul is worth more than all the world.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

Be sure you are saved. If you lose your soul, you miss Heaven and lose all. Please! Let God save you this very moment.

God’s power will save you, keep you saved, and enable you to live a victorious Christian life, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Do not trust your feelings. They change. Stand on God’s promises. They never change. After you are saved, there are three things to practice daily for spiritual growth: Pray – you talk to God. Read your Bible – God talks to you. Witness – you talk for God.

You should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation, and then unite with a Bible-believing church without delay. “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord…” (2 Timothy 1:8).

“Whosoever therefore shall confess [testify of] Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).

The Touch Of The Master’s Hand

Myra Brooks Welch

It was battered and scarred,
And the auctioneer thought it
Hardly worth his while
To waste his time on the old violin,
But he held it up with a smile.
“What am I bid, good people”, he cried,
“Who starts the bidding for me?”
“One dollar, one dollar, Do I hear two?”
“Two dollars, who makes it three?”

“Three dollars once, three dollars twice,
Going for three”. . . but no!
From the room far back a gray-haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow;
Then wiping the dust from the old violin,
And tightening up the strings,
He played a melody, pure and sweet,
As sweet as an angel sings.

The music ceased and the auctioneer
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said “What now am I bid for this old violin?”
As he held it aloft with its bow.
“One thousand, one thousand, Do I hear two?”
“Two thousand, Who makes it three?”
“Three thousand once, three thousand twice,
Going and gone”, said he.

The people cheered, but some of them cried,
“We do not quite understand.
What changed its worth?” Swift came the reply:
“The touch of the Master’s hand.”
And many a man with life out of tune,
And battered and scarred with sin,
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd
Much like the old violin.

A “mess of pottage,” a glass of wine,
A game and he travels on,
He’s going once, and going twice -
He’s going – and almost gone!
But the MASTER comes, and the foolish crowd,
Never can quite understand,
The worth of a soul, and the change that’s wrought
By the touch of the MASTER’S hand.

Beautiful Days

Each day is very beautiful,

I know this to be true.

No matter where we are in life,

Beauty is there, too.

The sun that rises in the sky

Is always beautiful to see,

And how gorgeous is another’s smile

That is meant for you and me.

Music, paintings, buildings, too,

The flowers in a vase,

There is so much in our world

That shows God’s beauty and His grace.

HEARTGIFTS

It’s not the things that can be bought

That are life’s richest treasure,

It’s just the little “ heartgifts

That money cannot measure . . .

A cheerful smile, a friendly word,

A sympathetic nod

Are priceless little treasures

From the storehouse of our God. . .

They are the things that can’t be bought

With silver or with gold,

For thoughtfulness and kindness

And love are never sold . . .

They are priceless little things in life

For which no one can pay,

And the giver finds rich recompense

In Giving Them Away.

LITTLE THINGS

He doesn’t find contentment

Who seeks the wealth of kings

For the greatest happiness of all

Is found in little things…

Little things like kittens’ fur

And bread right from the oven

Or little pups with big brown eyes,

Or children who need lovin’

Or cozy spots on rainy days

Or helping someone out

Or sitting down and wondering

What life is all about…

A perfect rose – all fresh with dew,

The first spring daffodil –

Yes little things sure mean a lot

And guess they always will.

But it seems the very nicest

Of all the little things

Is our special kind of friendship

And the happiness it brings.

OUR CROSS BECOMES A CROWN

We all have days that are dismal and dreary

And we feel sort of blue and lonely and weary,

But we have to admit that life is worth living

And God gives us reasons for daily thanksgiving…

For each trial we suffer and every shed tear

Just gives us new strength to persevere

As we climb steep hills along life’s way

That lead us at last to that wonderful day

Where the cross we have carried becomes a crown

And at last we can lay our burden down!
